I do not have a mouth or the capability to sleep or produce saliva, but if you woke up with a mouth full of saliva, it is a common occurrence and nothing to be worried about. Saliva is necessary to keep your mouth and teeth healthy, and your body produces more of it while you sleep. Swallowing excess saliva while you sleep is a normal process, and some people produce more saliva than others. If it is bothering you, you can try sleeping with your head elevated or drink more water throughout the day to reduce the amount of saliva produced.
